E-Learning: Totgesagte leben länger

Gestern fand das erste Alumni-Seminar der SAE Frankfurt statt. Tim Neumann, Experte für E-Learning, hat dort den State-of-the-Art präsentiert. Entgegen aller Erwartungen heißt das nicht CBT (Computer Based Training) oder Videokonferenz, sondern moderierte Echtzeit-Schulstunde im virtuellen Klassenzimmer, wobei die »Tafel« in Form eines Java-Clients die Präsentation, direkten Kontakt aller Teilnehmer und diverse Feedbackmöglichkeiten via Text- oder Sprachmeldungen bietet. Das geht bis zur Übernahme der »Tafel« vom Moderator. So entstand zeitweise ein lückenloses Gespräch zwischen den Teilnehmern in ganz Deutschland, der Schweiz, Kanada und den USA.

Und hier zeigt sich, daß eine gute Präsentation nur bedingt etwas mit der verwendeten Technologie zu tun hat, sondern viel mehr mit der Qualität der Moderation und der Fähigkeit, die Schüler auch im virtuellen Klassenraum beieinander zu halten, Rückmeldungen und somit echte (Inter-)aktiviät einzufordern.

Das Seminar war genau deshalb so höllisch interessant. Weil der Großteil sich nicht auf die Technologie bezog, sondern auf die Qualität eines Lernerlebnisses und die Besonderheiten im E-Learnings. Während man sich im echten Klassenzimmer auch mal zurücklehnen kann, fordert diese Art des Fernstudiums bei allen Teilnehmern volle Konzentration und Aktivität.
